Trainer: Scott Simmons from Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)
The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is dedicated to making location data FAIR: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. Through the work of our more than 550 members, we develop Standards and Best Practices as well as perform research to ensure that geospatial information can be broadly used. This presentation focuses on the new generation of Standards known as the OGC APIs. These modular Standards are offered as “building blocks” by which users can expose their information to the Web and other clients and integrate geospatial information with other data and capabilities through modern web APIs. The OGC APIs are easy to use, fast to deploy, and reliable in function.
