The Cultural Conservancy (TCC) is now walking through a Land Back project in Northern California, where we steward land on the traditional territories of the Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo peoples in the heart of wine country commercial agriculture. Using audiovisual and mapping technologies to tend a large California native ecological restoration project rooted in cultural knowledge and TEK, we are stepping into cultural revitalization and land access through a headwater restoration project that feeds a traditional salmon run, revitalizing traditional fire ecology, and a renewal of wild-tending and traditional Foodways.
