A show and tell session on how Six Nations Polytechnic STEAM Academy has been utilizing ArcGIS online to teach students about Hodinohsó:ni’ knowledge, land, language and stories. Students at SNP STEAM students have created maps through ArcGIS of Hodinohsó:ni’ land pre-contact and post-colonization. SNP Students are also mapping the Peacemakers journey through ArcGIS which depicts the pivotal moments in the creation of Kayanerenkó:wa/Gayenawasrágo:wah (The Great Law of Peace). Lastly, explore how SNP STEAM students have partnered with Ohneganos to conduct a research project on Indigenized Environmental Assessments which includes braiding Hodinohsó:ni’ Language into western scientific data collection.
