WHAT IS A MICROCREDENTIAL?

A Microcredential is an official recognition of a person’s range of skills, knowledge, and competencies in a specific field of knowledge. Shorter in duration than a certificate program and more flexible than a course, a microcredential is often taught at a rapid-pace and can be easily tailored to suit the needs of an individual or organization.

Microcredentials are often used to compliment and enhance an individuals pre-existing education or skills set, but they can also be used as standalone certifications.
