WEBINAR: NATIVE LANDS NATIONAL TRAILS PROJECT

Native Lands, National Trails is an Indigenous mapping and research project of the Partnership for the National Trails System. This project provides a suite of resources designed to advance the National Trails System’s knowledge of Indigenous ancestral Lands through partnership and collaboration with Indigenous communities along National Scenic and Historic Trails across the United States.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn about what the Native Lands, National Trails project is, how
    and why it was created, and how to utilize the map and resources.
  2. Gain an understanding of how to use the Native Lands,
    National Trails data within your own maps.
  3. Gain an understanding of how Esri and Mapbox hosted tilesets
    were used in the creation of the map

Webinar: Using Lidar to measure carbon Data

Join us on October 12 to hear from two of the WWF-Canada’s Nature X Carbon Tech Challenge winners, Innovatree and Korotu Technology. This multi-year challenge sought innovative and user-friendly technologies that support community-led carbon measurement of nature-based climate solutions across Canada.

Participants will:

  1. Learn about WWF-Canada’s Nature X Carbon Tech Challenge.
  2. Gain an understanding of how ecosystem carbon can be measured in your community from two of the Tech Challenge Final Award Recipients:

  4. Korotu Technology
  5. Hear from Angela Kane, CEO of Secwepemcúl’ecw Restoration and Stewardship Society, about how they have utilized Innovatree Carbon Group’s technology.

Our top priority is to ensure Indigenous peoples have access to the tools and knowledge to be able to build capacity with mapping technologies. We also offer paid memberships which allows us to build more content, reach out to new partners, and build capacity for even more people.
