Trainers: Brian Pope, Krista Benson, Scott Purdy, and Brittany Delany from Arc/k Project

The Arc/k Project’s mission is to preserve cultural assets around the world via the digital capture of objects, sites, and landscapes in order to derive detailed, texture rich 3D models via photogrammetry. In this workshop we will discuss the importance of preserving tribal cultural heritage through this process. Join us to learn how easy it is to archive diverse tribal objects and landscapes simply by taking a series of photos, whether via cell phone, DSLR, or video. In addition to the invaluable archiving data these image sets represent, the digital 3D models created in the process can be used in a myriad of Virtual Reality and Augmented technologies, dependent on a specific tribe or band’s ultimate wishes. Arc/k will include time for Q&A.
